Obituary

Shannon Jordan Davis was born on July 18, 1964, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Yvonne Marshall and Merl McRoy. In 1971, her mother relocated the family to Hayward, California, where Shannon grew up alongside her siblings and became a steady source of love and support in the home, helping her mother care for and raise the family. It was there that she began building her own family, welcoming her children in the same community that helped shape the woman she would become.

Her life’s journey later carried her across the country, from Arizona in 1994, to Virginia in 2001, and ultimately to Southern California in 2004, each place marking a new chapter in a life rooted in love, resilience, and devotion to family

While her work life took many forms over the years, Shannon’s greatest and most meaningful role was caring for her family. She gave her time, her heart, and her unwavering love to those closest to her.

Shannon was a devoted and loving wife to Keith Davis. She was a proud and dedicated mother to her three children, Vania Hunter, Vanessa Davis, and Kenneth Davis, stepmother to Keith Davis Jr., and a cherished grandmother to Jeremiah, Presious, Joseph, Titus, Cshannon, Zion, and Cayden, who were the light of her life.

She is also survived by her beloved siblings, Michael, Connie, Monica, and Bobbi, along with many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her.

Shannon had a generous heart and a remarkable gift for bringing joy to others. She could light up any room with her presence and had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and cared for. She was known for her quick wit and playful sense of humor, always ready with a joke, a funny remark, or a smile that could ease even the heaviest moment. Her laughter was contagious, and she had a special way of turning ordinary days into something a little brighter.

No matter the challenges she faced, she remained a steady source of strength and comfort to those around her. Her kindness, laughter, and unwavering love left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Shannon’s spirit will continue to live on through the memories shared, the laughter she inspired, and the deep love she gave so freely to her family.

Shannon passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the age of 61, surrounded by the love and presence of her family in Hemet, California.
