Richard A. Neves, 82, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 26, 2026. Born on March 7, 1944, in Wakefield, Massachusetts, Richard moved with his family to Santa Ana, California. In 1948, where he grew up, graduated from Santa Ana High school in 1962, and proudly lettered in football and wrestling.

Richard honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967, attaining the rank of E-5. Following his military service, he enjoyed a 17-year-career with Pacific Bell and later worked alongside his twin brother, Bob, before pursuing his true passion helping others. In 1038, he earned a Ph.D. In Hypnotherapy and spent more than 20 years assisting people in overcoming smoking and achieving healthier lives. He also cherished his annual trips to Japan for professional training seminars. 

In retirement, Richard found joy in cycling, spending time outdoors and the simple pleasures of life. He will be remembered for his caring heart, gentle spirit, and genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of those around him.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lucy Neves, his twin brother, Robert "Bob" Neves; and his sister, Barbara. He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Wanda, four nephews, one niece, and many relatives and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

His family takes comfort in knowing that his legacy of kindness, service and compassion will be live on in the many lives he touched.
