Felipe Gomez was a 36 yr old resident of Hemet who passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025 surrounded by many of those that loved him.
Felipe was born September 28,1989 to Rodrick Gomez and Irene Reyes in La Mirada. After Felipe graduated from Norwalk High school in 2007. He went on to continue working hard in the fast food industry as a shift lead for several yrs while attending a local community college.
In recent years, he had reenrolled in school and was pursuing his Bachelor's degree in computer science at Devry University. His anticipated graduation date was to be Fall of 2026.
In 2017, Felipe met Mariah through a mutual friend. They lived together as roommates and quickly became friends prior to becoming a couple a few short years later. Felipe and Mariah were married on October 6, 2019 and spent 6 amazing yrs together. while they did not have any children of their own, they have many nieces and nephews that Felipe loved dearly. Additionally, Felipe had a cat that he absolutely adored.
Felipe was a strong man of faith and exhibited exceptional Christian Values. He was an active member of his local church, Emmaus Reformed Baptist Church. Where he and his wife became members shortly before they were married and have been regularly attending ever since.
Felipe had a well known love for all things Pokeman, Pikachu specifically. He spent a considerable amount of time growing his avid card and figurine collection that brought him great joy. He also had a love for basketball and had begun relearning how to play the trumpet (he had played both in high school).
He is survived by his wife Mariah, his parents Rodrick and Irene, and his brothers Rod, Ray, and Ricky.
Services will be held in two parts Saturday November 8, 2025. A viewing at Memorial Funeral Services, 1111 S. State street, from 10am-1pm with a Memorial service/reception to follow at Emmaus Reformed Baptist Church 26089 Girard St. from 2pm-4pm.
Felipe touched the lives of so many. He brought joy and laughter to everyone he interacted with and had a life full of love. His memory will live on forever in the hearts of those he left behind.
